VINCE MELOCCHI (Playwright) is an accomplished artist based in the Los Angeles area. A longtime member of the Pacific Resident Theatre, his plays Figures, Bully, Julia, Last Snow, and Cow have been presented there, as well as his one act play, A Night of Lions, which served as the predecessor for this production of Lions. As an actor, his work includes many film, television and theatre credits.
GUILLERMO CIENFUEGOS (Director) was named among the top directors of 2003 by BackStage West for his production of Pains of Youth with Nom De Guerre. He also directed that company’s critically acclaimed original plays Stay Sweet Stay Happy and Out of Time. He is thrilled to be involved with Lions.
LISA NICHOLS (Producer). A member of PRT’s Writer’s Group, Lisa has written and produced for Sources Say and the 24 Hour Plays where Lions originated. She has worked as a writer/producer for theater, television and film in Los Angeles for twenty years and currently runs her own company, Van Aaron Productions, Inc. (www.vanaaronproductions.com). Lisa cannot adequately express her joy in being a part of bringing Vince’s brilliant play to life on the stage.
TANIA GETTY (Associate Producer) is very proud of Vince and his players for bringing such a timely, slice-of-life-for-the-people play to our stage! Tania has acted, written and produced at PRT for many years, is a Venice resident and a member of the Writers Group. Thanks to Marilyn Fox for believing in the group and Lions!
WILLIAM WILDAY (Lighting Design). Recent lighting credits: Simpatico and The Contest at Pacific Resident Theatre; The Misanthrope, Camille, and The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui at Classical Theatre Lab. I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change and 20th Century at Theatre Palisades; Conversations With My Father, Cabaret, Flyin’ West, A Piece of My Heart, and Pippin at Morgan-Wixson Theatre.
SHRUTI KRISHNAN (Stage Manager) recently graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre. She started acting as a child in London and continued to perform after moving to Singapore at the age of ten. Whilst studying at UCLA, she was in several productions including The Vagina Monologues, Marat Sade and Marisol. She is extremely happy to be working with PRT again.
